The Enlighten Project is a youth-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to bridging the digital divide in education. Recognizing that the future of learning is increasingly online, our mission is to ensure underprivileged youth in low-income communities are not left behind in this technological shift.
Many students, especially in underprivileged communities, lack access to the necessary technology and resources for effective learning. This digital divide exacerbates educational inequalities, leaving many students at a disadvantage.
The Problem
The Enlighten Project tackles the issue of educational inequities with multiple approaches, including:
[1] Donating tech resources,
[2] Tutoring in subjects like CS,
[3] Hosting in-person workshops, and
[4] Dispensing educational content
How We Are Trying to Help
We partner with schools, learning centers, and other non-profit organizations from all over the world to effectively create change. Our initiatives include efforts from regularly tutoring orphaned students in China, to providing CS training to instructors from learning centers in Cambodia. Our volunteer base spans over 13 countries, and we have impacted 4000+ students worldwide.
And we are always looking for opportunities to do more.
